City
The city is great for a little while
All those buildings, tall and bright
Day and night trains running hither and thither
Gym junkies in tight gear, to get fitter
Plazas full of expensive stuff
Price tags big enough to make you blush
Big Markets of fresh food, filled to the brim
But so are the options for
fast food and fine dine-in
Korean, Japanese, Mexican or Indian
You choose, and your dinner is done
Thirsty for something,
fast life, fast pace
Lets not get this youth to waste
Between fashion, food, travel and rent
There is enough to make you spend
So your old age can be spent in a tent
I saw homeless and I worried
What went wrong, why life not cherished
Something turned me off
from the city charm
I want my home and to stay in
my loved ones arms
Where is my greenery, my country life?
Let me pack my bags, go home
and be a good wife!
I want hugs and kisses of my children all day
I want to sit in silence and just pray
