Flight of dreams
O young bride!
I see your beauty, brains and pride
I see those dreams in your eyes
You sure are not familiar
with the wind and this turbulent ride
I feel pity for your inexperience,
innocence and unfamiliarity
with the tide
Your alluring beauty
wants a young man to hide his vice
So you can throw your dice
And see what luck it brings
for you to live the life of a wife
Has your charm the power to entice?
For a whole length of life?
What if your flight of dreams crash?
Would there be turbulence mid-air
Would your other half be fair?
What if this plane crashes right now
You never reach your destination
Instead it throws you in the vast ocean down below
Would you survive such a blow?
What if you need to survive on an unknown island
What have you learnt already and planned
It certainly would be an exciting adventure
If you don’t break any bones and your denture
Did you ever worry before this moment?
Where were those fears laying dormant?
You little bookworm lady
Real life is not exactly what was preached by your mummy and daddy
You have yet to drink the water of seven seas
Then you will know how to live and survive overseas
